When I first heard of Automatic Loveletter I said to myself, "Oh great, another emo band." Er...which is partly true, yes they are of emo lineage. On the other hand, there's something unique about this four-piece band which I simply can't ignore that easily.For starters, there's Juliet Simms. Fantastic vocals. Her voice is reminiscent of 90's power vocals with a little bit of that nasal twang on her voice everytime she hits the upper notes.
Or you could say it's Paramore the morning after.
Hush is a beautiful song. It's a breakup song and I can feel the emotion in the song as she sings it because, well, her voice really does justice to the lyrics. Especially on the last few lines of the song where she totally brings it down. Totally.
