From the movie Cruel Intentions, this soundtrack was played during one of the pivotal parts of the movie. I like the message in this song. It might sound like it is about love bound by the restrictions of skin color and other things which people may tag racially discriminative, but I think it goes beyond that.It's more of a clash of cultures that this song is talking about. Divisions arising from societal status in which love is worth the money in your bank account. The song then makes a good resolution, "pull me out from inside, I am ready..." at the end signaling a deep acceptance that at we are all but humans at the very least.
